Start with the issuing authority
There is no single renewal procedure for every UAE licence. Identify the licensing authority, licence type and expiry date. Review that authority’s current renewal service rather than applying a checklist from a different emirate or free zone.
Check linked documents and approvals
Confirm whether tenancy or facility documents, sector approvals, establishment records or other requirements need updating for your licence. Requirements vary by authority and activity. Review current charges and any outstanding conditions before submitting.
Complete renewal and retain records
Use the issuing authority’s official channel, submit the required information and retain the renewed licence and payment records. Licence renewal does not automatically renew visas, leases or tax registrations. Dubai Development Authority’s renewal guidance applies to its own licensees, not every UAE business.
