Choose the activity and legal form
Start with the exact licensed activity, ownership structure and legal form. The activity influences the licence type and approvals. Confirm permitted ownership and any strategic-impact restrictions rather than assuming every activity has identical rules.
Prepare the licensing file
A typical sequence includes trade name reservation, initial approval, required constitutive documents, suitable premises and additional regulator approvals where applicable. Initial approval is not permission to begin operating. Check the current activity-specific checklist with Dubai’s licensing authority.
Submit and plan ongoing obligations
Submit the authority’s required documents and review the applicable charges before payment. Licence issuance, immigration, bank account opening and tax obligations are separate processes.
